2007 Insurance prices for UK residents
UK holidays - £15 per person
Overseas holidays - £21 per person
It is important that everyone travelling with PGL has holiday insurance. Experience has shown that standard policies do not cover all of our activities e.g. motorsports, abseiling and rifle shooting. For your protection therefore, we have arranged a special policy with Union Reiseversicherung AG. PGL insurance includes the following benefits as long as claims fall within the terms and conditions of the policy:
• Cover for all activities organised by PGL
• Personal Accident cover up to £25,000
• Medical and other expenses up to £5 million for overseas holidays and up to £10,000 (other expenses only) for the UK
• Cancellation charges up to the cost of the holiday (max £1000)
• Luggage up to £1,500 - single item £250. Valuables limit £250.
• Personal money up to £200 (£100 for the under 16s)
• Personal liability up to £1 million
• Curtailment of activities at £20 per day (up to a maximum of £240)
• Delay compensation up to the invoice total for abandonment of overseas holidays. Compensation after 12 hours delay is £20.
Full details can be sent to you upon request.
Please note that cancellation cover comes into force when you pay the appropriate premiums. Some of the above sections are subject to £10 excess (up to £100 excess for legal expenses). Please read the Key Facts statement below.
Clients not purchasing our insurance will be asked to complete an Insurance Indemnity form issued on the advice of ABTA.

We would like to explain some of the definitions and features of our insurance for you.
Cooling off period: Your policy contains a 14 day cooling off period, during which you can cancel the policy and get a refund, if you have a justifiable reason for being dissatisfied with the cover it provides.
Pre-existing Health Conditions: If any participant, or any other person on whom the travel plans depend (eg close relative) has ever had treatment for any heart condition or circulatory condition, a stroke or high blood pressure, any breathing condition (including asthma), any type of cancer, any type of diabetes, any psychological condition, any existing injury or other serious recurring medical condition, any condition requiring long-term, prescribed medication or if you or they are receiving or awaiting investigation for any medical condition, you must advise the insurers via PGL to see if additional cover is available. Insurers reserve the right to impose terms. You will receive confirmation in writing of their decision.
Conditions, Exclusions and Terms: Conditions and exclusions will apply to individual sections of your policy while general exclusions, conditions and terms will apply to the whole policy.
Property Claims: These claims are paid based on the value of the goods at the time you lose them and not on a "new for old" or replacement cost basis.
Policy Limits: Most sections of the policy have limits on the amount the insurer will pay under that section. Some sections include other specific limits, for example for any one item or for valuables in total. You are advised to check your policy if you intend on taking expensive items with you, which we advise against.
Policy Excesses: Under some sections of the policy claims will be subject to an excess. This means that you will be responsible for paying the first part of the claim. The amount you have to pay is called the excess.
Reasonable Care: You need to take all reasonable care to protect yourself and your property, otherwise your claim may be refused.
Complaints: The insurance policy includes a Complaints Procedure which tells you what steps you need to take if you wish to make a complaint.
Dangerous Sports and Pastimes: If you are going to take part in dangerous sports or pastimes where there is a risk of injury, check that your policy covers you. All activities officially organised and implemented by PGL are covered.
Policy Document: This gives full details of what is not covered and conditions of the cover. A copy will be sent on booking, earlier on request.
Law: The Insurance Policy will be subject to the law of England and Wales unless otherwise agreed.
Please read your insurance policy carefully. Failure to comply with the terms and conditions of the policy may result in cover being restricted.
