Active Leisure and Learning
Our comprehensive job related training programme provides you with an outstanding introduction to working in the Outdoor Industry.
The training we offer is accredited by the National Open College Network and staff working in instructing roles have the opportunity to gain the nationally recognised Apprenticeship in Active Leisure and Learning at Intermediate and Advanced level as well as a range of National Governing Body awards, Key Skills and NVQ awards.
Training is delivered by both our internal training team and other external NGB coaches who work closely with educational bodies to ensure that they are up-to-date with the latest training syllabuses and techniques.
A variety of training methods are used but as these are vocational qualifications, the emphasis will focus on 'on the job' learning, where you take time to reflect on your achievements and record your key learning milestones.
You can apply for a place on this programme on completion of your 34 week PGL Apprenticeship. We have start dates throughout the year.
