Ski Rep Frequently Asked Questions
How long does the application process take?
Once your application has been processed you will receive email confirmation along with you PGL ID number. If we like what we see you will receive a phone call from one of our Recruitment Team to discuss your application in further detail, alternatively your application may be placed on our reserved list, in which case we will contact you if any suitable vacancies arrive. We aim to make contact with all applicants within four weeks.
Can I do anything to speed things up?
Ensure you provide us with the most up-to-date contact addresses (including email address) so that we can contact you as soon as a suitable vacancy arises.
I am only available for one week during the season, is it still worth applying?
Yes definitely: most of our vacancies are for one week of the season; one of your available weeks must be for the February Half-Term holiday. If you are not available for this week your application will be unsuccessful.
Do you have any jobs for the whole winter season?
No. We are able to offer Ski Rep work for two-four weeks per season. We do not have any full winter season vacancies. Most people work for one or two weeks, in February and at Easter. We do not have any Chalet Host or catering vacancies in our ski resorts.
Do I need qualifications?
No, but you do need to have the relevant experience we ask for in the job description, be a competent skier or snowboarder and have bags of enthusiasm!
Is there anyone I can contact to discuss my suitability for work at PGL?
Yes, you can contact Emma Lacey in the PGL Recruitment Team by telephone on 0844 3710 123 or by email on skipersonnel@pgl.co.uk
Can I do a work placement with PGL Ski?
Due to the short nature of the contracts available, we would not normally take placement students for positions in resort.
