Ski Rep Frequently Asked Questions
How long does the application process take?
If we like what we read on your application you will receive a letter advising you that you have been short-listed for attending a training course. You can also expect to receive a phone call to discuss the position further. If your application is not successful you may be kept on reserve and considered for any suitable vacancies that may arise during the season.
Can I do anything to speed things up?
Ensure you provide us with the most up to date contact addresses (including email address) so that we can contact you as soon as a suitable vacancy arises. Your application will be delayed if we do not hear from your referees. Please ensure that the contact details for referees are accurate and that you have told them to expect a reference request from us.
I am only available for one week during the season, is it still worth applying?
Yes definitely: most of our vacancies are for one week of the season.
Do you have any jobs for the whole winter season?
No. We are able to offer Ski Rep work for a maximum of four weeks per season. This would normally be in stints of two or three weeks back-to-back. We do not have any full season vacancies.
Do I need qualifications?
No, but you do need to have the relevant experience we ask for in the job description, be a competent skier or snowboarder and have bags of enthusiasm!
Is there anyone I can contact to discuss my suitability for work at PGL?
Yes, you can contact Emma Lacey in the PGL Recruitment Team by telephone on 0870 401 4411 or by email on skipersonnel@pgl.co.uk
Can I do a work placement with PGL Ski?
We would not normally take placement students for positions in resort.
What is the minimum and maximum length of time I can work for?
The minimum is one week and the maximum is four weeks.
