Chris Oldham, Boreatton Park Chris says: I was a barman in a local pub but my ambition was to become a chef. At PGL, I could enrol on the Apprenticeship programme in Hospitality.
I started off as a Catering Assistant and began my Apprenticeships the following year. I spent the seasons working in the UK and France, and am in my second year as Assistant Head Cook. I keep coming back to Boreatton because each day is a challenge. I get support from my Catering Manager, have gained qualifications and lots of catering knowledge.
I've finished my NVQ Level 2 and am starting my Level 3 next year. I want to use my qualifications and experience to enable me to become a Head Chef for PGL.
