Ian Waddington, Caythorpe Court

Ian says: I started working with PGL in 2007 and have been a Canoe Instructor since 2008. I deliver sessions to a variety of guests from college groups to Indies.

Prior to working with PGL I was working for a company that operates shorter seasons. A colleague suggested applying for PGL and I’ve been with here ever since!

Working with PGL, I’ve gained my BCU Level 3 and 4 Star Canoe, 5* White Water Kayak, Advanced White Water Safety and Rescue awards.

PGL’s staff make it what it is – for me it has opened my mind to so many possibilities and I have fantastic memories. Last October I was lucky enough to paddle some amazing rivers in Nepal with an awesome bunch of PGL paddlers – it was an experience I will never forget.

PGL has taught me to grab every opportunity with both hands – so that’s what I’m going to do this season!
