Amy Davies, Alton Court

Amy says: I have worked for PGL for 3 years and have worked within the sales team as a Customer Service Specialist for the past 2 and half years.

I work in an open plan office environment and my job is to retain existing PGL clients. In our office we deal with everything PGL offers to groups, from ski trips in the Alps, to language tours in Paris, so every call is different.

It helps if you know the products you are selling so my job involves quite a bit of travelling to the adventure centres in the UK and France as well as visiting Ski groups out during the schools holidays. It is a very interesting role and allows you to experience the trips we sell first hand.

It is key within my role to be well organised. We each have our own clients and have both individual and team targets so it is very beneficial to prioritise workloads and manage your time efficiently.

The products we sell make it easy to be passionate about the company and its objectives. PGL is a fantastic company that offers great training and development workshops and also brings a lot of opportunities which allow you to grow and progress.

Where can I do this job?

Jobs at PGL Head Office

PGL's head office is based on the outskirts of the small riverside town of Ross-on-Wye. The location is significant, as the local River Wye saw PGL's founder (Peter Gordon Lawrence) launch his very first canoe trips from here in 1957.
