Jobs at PGL's Head Office, Ross-on-Wye

Alton Court, PGL Head Office

PGL's head office is based on the outskirts of the small riverside town of Ross-on-Wye. The location is significant, as the local Rive Wye is where the founder of PGL (Peter Gordon Lawrence) led his very first canoe trips in 1957.

The town sits at the centre of an excellent motorway infrastructure, with the M50, M5, M4 and A40 all close by.

Ross-on-Wye is a small, bustling, friendly market town located on the banks of the River Wye in South Herefordshire.

The river plays an active role in the town's social calendar, with an annual regatta and other events taking place around the water.

The area is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful in the country. The county of Herefordshire is one of the UK's most productive fruit-growing regions, which means thousands of acres of farmland surround the town. It's no surprise that the area is famed as one of the world's main cider-producing locations.

The town is a popular holiday location, with many quaint pubs, restaurants, B & Bs and campsites. There's an annual festival of the arts, a carnival and fair. Ross has an indoor swimming pool as well as all the usual sports teams, including mens and women's rugby, football, hockey and rowing.

Outdoor pursuits lovers will enjoy the town's close proximity to Symonds Yat, the Forest of Dean, the Brecon Beacons and the Black Mountains: the area is a playground for the paddler, mountain biker, climber, walker and horse rider.
