Jobs at PGL's Head Office, Ross-on-Wye

Alton Court, PGL Head Office

PGL's head office is based on the outskirts of the small riverside town of Ross-on-Wye. The location is significant, as the local Rive Wye is where the founder of PGL (Peter Gordon Lawrence) led his very first canoe trips in 1957.

Ross is a great place for children: there's plenty of outside space, things to do and places to go. The schools are small and friendly and there are plenty of community clubs to become involved in. The town has highly-thought of primary schools and the town's high school is a specialist Technology College and an Enterprise Learning Pathfinder school, also holding Sportsmark, the Healthy Schools Awards, Charter Mark and numerous other awards.

PGL Travel Ltd is one of the town's key employers, meaning there's an active organised (and disorganised!) social life amongst staff. Several events are organsied by the PGL Social Committee each year, including highly subsidised trips to our centre in Paris, a subsidised ski holiday, canoe trips and an annual Christmas Ball at The Chase Hotel. There are also active staff football and volleyball teams and several staff are members of the town's rowing club.
