Field Studies
Rivers and streams, rocks and fossils, plants and soils - just some of the subjects children encounter in our tailor-made field studies units. We base the development of our courses around areas teachers tell us are difficult to deliver in school!
Our 'hands-on' approach to Field Studies will ensure that your group gets the most from their course.
- Using real life 'touchable' examples means that the subjects come to life for the pupils, which enhances their understanding.
- Your group will become familiar with key fieldwork equipment such as hand-held computers, data loggers and digital cameras.
- High quality evidence - your group will be able to record the work they do using multi-media and all work can be taken back to school in the form of a CD Rom and worksheets.
Supporting You
All our field studies staff are experienced in dealing with school groups in fieldwork locations and take responsibility for content and delivery of the course. They also take responsibility for the safety of the pupils during field studies sessions, with party leader support.

Little Canada, Isle of Wight

On the Isle of Wight, minutes from the Fishbourne ferry, Little Canada is located in 48 acres of beautiful woodland on the banks of Wootton Creek. The centre offers distinctive log cabin style accommodation and a diverse range of indoor and outdoor activities. ICT and Field Studies courses are available in addition to Multi-Activity courses.
