Science

Within key themes, pupils expand their understanding of science by using investigative and problem solving techniques. The Science Adventure Study course is combined with adventure activity sessions.

Sample Itinerary:

Day 1: Afternoon - arrival and orientation. Evening - Scavenger hunt.

Day 2: Morning - Introduction to Star Lab. Afternoon - Zip Wire. Evening - Quiz.

Day 3: Morning - Rocket investigation & pyrotechnic rocket demo. Afternoon - Aeroball & Climbing.
Evening - "Passport" game.

Day 4: Morning - Building rockets, construction & testing. Afternoon - High Ropes & Archery. Evening - Disco.

Barton Hall

Close to Torquay and within easy reach of the M5, Barton Hall offers accommodation in the main house and in en suite chalets. Facilities include an indoor activity zone, heated outdoor swimming pool, classrooms for Field Studies and Science, and ICT suites. Little Canada

On the Isle of Wight, minutes from the Fishbourne ferry, Little Canada is located in 48 acres of beautiful woodland on the banks of Wootton Creek. The centre offers distinctive log cabin style accommodation and a diverse range of indoor and outdoor activities. ICT and Field Studies courses are available in addition to Multi-Activity courses.

Osmington Bay

Located at the heart of the Dorset World Heritage coast, Osmington Bay comprises a 45 acre site with its own private beach. A popular centre for watersports as well as offering a comprehensive land-based activity programme, Osmington also runs a range of Field Studies and modular ICT courses.
