Educational Tours : Belgium

PGL School Trips and Educational Tours to Belgium

Belgium offers an inspiring mixture of history, art and culture, from Brussels to the WW1 Battlefields in Flanders, all within a short travelling time from Calais.

Tours and Courses

Whether you choose to take a specific study course or a cross-curricular tour, there is plenty to interest your group in this diverse country.

As an alternative to a straightforward tour, PGL can also offer a historical study course to Belgium – our WWI Battlefields Course -  which makes the most of the vast array of significant locations here; with this option your group will visit cemeteries, museums and battlefields, piecing together the events of this important period of history.

Accommodation

PGL tours of Belgium will be based in either Blankenberge or Langemark – both excellent locations for exploring the country.

Blankenberge is a bustling seaside town looking out to the North Sea; it has been Belgium’s favourite resort since the first hotels were built in 1850.

Langemark lies at the heart of the WW1 battlegrounds, just minutes from Ypres and the extraordinary ‘In Flanders Field’ museum.

Both of these destinations can also be combined with day trips to the medieval city of Bruges (nicknamed the Venice of the North) or the vibrant capital city of Brussels.
