Devon & Dartmoor Field Study Trips - PGL Barton Hall

Popular Study Modules in Dorset & Dartmoor

For Physical Geographers - there are a wealth of investigations of coastal and fluvial systems.

For Human Geographers - there are interesting opportunities to examine issues surrounding land use, farming, tourism and land management (both along the coast and in Dartmoor National Park).

For Geologists - the granite tors of Dartmoor as well as the coastal formations form a good basis for an introduction to the subject, or even an in-depth case study.

For Biologists - there are rock pools, sand dunes, woodland, heathland and freshwater streams within easy reach of the centre.
