Development Courses for KS3 (S1 - S3)
Our induction (Year 7/S1), progression (Year 8/S2) and motivation (Year 9/S3) courses help students make connections about how their behaviour affects themselves and others while participating in adventure activities.
Induction course (Year 7/S1)
Objective: Improving Primary to Secondary transition. Learning Outcomes: working as a team, making new friends, interaction with others.
Progression course (Year 8/S2)Objective: Maintaining progression & development. Learning Outcomes: strengthening relationships, promoting respect, self-esteem & confidence.
Motivation course (Year 9/S3)
Objective: To focus on the practical skills needed approaching 'options' year. Learning Outcomes: decision making skills, positive attitudes to challenges, considering consequences.

On the Isle of Wight, minutes from the Fishbourne ferry, Little Canada is located in 48 acres of beautiful woodland on the banks of Wootton Creek. The centre offers distinctive log cabin style accommodation and a diverse range of indoor and outdoor activities. ICT and Field Studies courses are available in addition to Multi-Activity courses.
