Subject Overview
An overseas field studies trip offers a unique opportunity to study at first hand the results of glaciation, coastal processes and plate tectonics in some truly dramatic landscapes. PGL offers field studies trips to areas with outstanding geographical and geological interest – such as the French and Swiss Alps.
Our courses have been designed to meet the curricular requirements of Key Stage 3, 4 & 16+ groups. The courses are modular, allowing you to choose the elements of most benefit to your group from a large list of human and physical geography topics.
Key Stage specific overviews are available for each course. Most modules in the Alpine Field Studies courses can be presented for both GCSE and A-Level standard students.
Course duration is 8 days with full board accommodation in a local hotel.
