Educational Tours : History Tours

Tour Information
Our history tours are a fantastic way to bring areas of the curriculum to life - travelling to significant destinations in the UK and even to many European destinations, such as Belgium, Normandy, Berlin, Krakow and Prague.
By soaking up the local atmosphere and seeing for themselves the real life historical settings, students can learn to understand and empathise with the people who were directly affected by major historical events.
Tours are tailor-made for each group, allowing you to match excursions with your learning objectives. Our main tours cover such topics as:
• British Heritage
• The Cold War
• The Fall of the Berlin Wall
• WWI
• The D-Day Landings
• WWII and The Holocaust
If you are part of a smaller History faculty you may like to join forces with a teacher from another department. Our knowledgeable tour organisers will assist with arranging an itinerary to suit the needs of all kinds of ‘mixed’ or cross-curricular groups.
Other destinations can be made available upon request - simply call us on 0870 162 5000 to discuss your requirements.
Course Information
We also offer an in-depth History course - the WWI Battlefields course - an investigation based course which includes comparative studies and active research. The course is based in and around Ypres in Belgium.
