The resort lies in the shadow of Vihren, the highest peak in the Pirin mountain range and is set on a flat valley floor surrounded by peaks.
An eight-seat gondola provides access to the main lifts at Banderishka where there are nursery slopes as well as a blue piste all the way back to the town, representing excellent progression for beginners. From the high point of the area, reds or blues will take you back to the main ski area at Shiligarnika where wide, tree-lined slopes are reached by modern quad chairs and two drag lifts. Advanced skiers will find more challenging skiing at Chalin Valog, at the mid-station of the gondola.
