Katschberg

The ski resort of Katschberg has been renowned for its snow-sure winters for many years and offers 70km of great runs suitable for all abilities and ages.

The resort connects the provinces of Salzburg and Carinthia. It has a good-sized ski area shared with the villages of St. Michael im Lungau and St. Margarethen im Lungau and is linked by ski bus.

There are several dedicated nursery slopes for beginners and a good range of blues for progression.

Intermediates will enjoy the wide sunny slopes and the recently created A1 piste which is 6km long and is a nice constant gradient.

There are 10km of black pistes in the wider area, including the Direttissima, one of the longest black runs in Austria.
