Leysin is the livelier of the two towns, with a large swimming pool and ice rink – traditionally it was a health resort and associated with Swiss finishing schools! Les Mosses, in contrast, is a quiet alpine village with a few shops, cafés and an ice rink.
Situated in a high basin, Leysin and Les Mosses have 100kms of pistes to offer the skier - the areas of each are linked with a ski bus which takes just 10 minutes. Leysin, in particular, is also considered one of the top resorts for boarders, offering a whole area with virtually no drag lifts as well as a snowpark and pro-quarterpipe.
