Located in the western side of Austria, St Anton has been one of the more famous Austrian ski resorts since the 1920s and is also famous as the homeland of the ski pioneer Hannes Scheider.
The Arlberg ski area gives skiers and snowboarders over 270 km of groomed slopes and over 180 km of deep powder runs that range from 1305m up to 2811m.
You can ski from morning till night on a variety of different slopes without having to use the same lift system twice – virtually unique in a European ski resort.
The town of St Anton is a delightful mix of old and new architecture with inviting shops lining a pedestrian main street.
