PGL are happy to announce that one of our sponsored canoeists has been selected for the Irish team and should hopefully be paddling into the Olympics in Bejing this year!

Helen Barnes has represented Great Britain in World Cups and Pre World Championships. Two years ago she switched nations to Ireland and now combines training with work as a primary school teacher in Nottingham.

Helen's first boating experience was on a PGL holiday - she has never looked back and as well as being an international slalom canoeist, she is the World Eskimo Rolling Champion!
