Great News - PGL accept childcare vouchers! Same great adventures, new ways to save! Using childcare vouchers really is a simple process and is a great way of being able to afford to pay for a fantastic holiday for your child whilst saving money!
Q. What are the benefits?
• A simple, straight forward way to pay for childcare
• Pay NO tax or National Insurance on the vouchers
• Save up to £1,195 per year (or £2,390 if both parents are eligible)
• The scheme benefits all working parents provided your employer offers the Childcare Vouchers Scheme
• Vouchers are accepted as a payment method for a wide range of child care, including PGL Holidays
• Parents with children up to the age of 16 are eligible to receive childcare vouchers
Q. How Childcare Vouchers Work?
A. Providing your company has affiliated with a childcare voucher scheme you can contribute up to £243 a month of your salary towards childcare vouchers which will be exempt from tax and National Insurance Contributions. Your vouchers can then be used as part or full payment for a PGL holiday. Vouchers are easy to use – you will either be sent paper vouchers, which you then forward to us, or e-vouchers where you will log on to your voucher account and make payment to us online. Please note, you can only use your childcare vouchers for your own children.
Q. Which childcare voucher providers do you accept?
A. We are registered to accept payment from all the major childcare voucher providers including: Edenred, Sodexho Pass, Care4, Computershare, Kids Unlimited, Kiddi Vouchers, Imagine Co-operative, Allsave, Childcare-Plus, Early Years Vouchers and Fair Care. If your childcare voucher provider is not on this list then please contact us and we will happily liaise with your provider in order to be able to accept them.
If your company does not currently offer Childcare Vouchers please contact any of the companies listed above, providing them with your employer details so that your company can be contacted about running a scheme.
Q. How do I use my childcare vouchers?
A. Your employer should provide details of how your scheme is administered but in most cases it’s very straightforward. Just let your childcare voucher provider know that you want to spend your vouchers on a PGL Adventure Holiday and they will guide you through the process. Your vouchers can be used in part or full payment against your chosen holiday.
Q. Which PGL holidays can I use my childcare vouchers for?
A. Currently you can use childcare vouchers for all PGL Adventure Holidays based in England - please call for details. We are in the process of working with the regulatory bodies in Wales and Scotland to be able to extend acceptance of childcare vouchers to our other UK centres.
OFSTED Voluntary Registration
In order to accept childcare vouchers we are required to register all our English centres at which we wish to accept childcare vouchers as payment, under the OFSTED administered Voluntary Childcare Register. This scheme currently operates in England in a way that allows holiday companies such as PGL to be included on the Register. PGL is therefore only able to operate with Childcare Voucher schemes at our English centres at present. This is under constant review and is subject to the differing regulations applied in Scotland and Wales since devolution.
