The Club Kitzsteinhorn is an extremely popular ski hotel within easy walking distance of the lift to the main ski area in Zell am See.
From Club Kitzsteinhorn, groups can walk across the car park to the beginner slopes at the bottom of the Areitbahn. The beginner groups soon progress to the Glocknerbahn at the top of the first Gondola. From here the rest of the mountain is accessible. Groups can meet outside the Areitalm at lunchtime.
Kaprun is a 20min drive away and offers skiing at 3000m. The glacier has many blues suitable for beginners, although the steep T-bars can be challenging.
