The best centres

Every year we provide holidays for over 250,000 children and teenager therefore we aim to offer the best centres and facilities year on year. We now have 17 fantastic adventure centres throughout the UK and abroad which are constantly being updated with the latest and most exhilarating activities meaning year after year children return.

Our beginnings

Back in 1957, Peter Gordon Lawrence bought a folding canvas canoe and set off down the Danube. He loved this experience so much he wanted to share it. Returning home, he began leading groups of young adults on canoe camping trips down the River Wye –
and PGL was born!
