Leadership Challenge holidays at PGL
Challenge, motivate and develop your leadership skills
Six days of fun activities designed to promote leadership skills
Develop your leadership and teambuilding skills and get a behind-the-scenes look at PGL too!
What's it all about?
Do you love PGL? Have we inspired you to consider working with children, or in the outdoors? Perhaps you might like to be a PGL Groupie, instructor or even centre manager? This holiday will give you the chance to find out what it's really like.
What do i learn?
You and your team will cover a range of activities, tasks and challenges during the week. You'll also get a behind-the-scenes look at what's involved in the planning and organisation required to run the activity session, and make sure everyone has a safe and enjoyable holiday. Each task, activity and challenge allows you to earn points for your team. At the end of the week your points will be converted into a budget for your final challenge - to plan, organise and deliver a themed event for your fellow guests' final night. Our staff will be on hand to help you but you'll still need all the skills you've developed to pull it off!
Can I do other activities as well?
Yes, this holiday packs in loads of activities from our multi activity programme. These are chosen specially to help you develop your leadership and team building skills, while making friends and having loads of fun at the same time.
Do I need any experience?
No, but you'll need to have lots of energy and enthusiasm!
Do I need any specialist equipment?
At the start of the holiday we'll give you an exclusive and coveted Leadership Challenge T-shirt. You'll need to wear this at certain times so that guests and staff recognise you. This is, of course, yours to keep at the end of the holiday.
Only £579 per child
(From only £20 more than a comparable 7 night Multi activity holiday)
Every day is different
This holiday packs in loads of activities from our multi activity programme. These are chosen specially to help you develop your leadership and team building skills, while making friends and having loads of fun at the same time. Please note that not all activities are available at all centres; please see the specific centre pages for more information.
The fun doesn’t stop there! We also include fun-packed evening entertainment programmes at all our centres, every day, all year round, whichever holiday you choose.
|Breakfast||Off to the dining room with the rest of your group to fuel up for the day, you’ll need plenty of energy to keep you going. Breakfast includes cereals, toast, yogurts, porridge, and cooked breakfast – you choose!
Don’t forget to refill your drinks bottle before you head off to your first activity
|Morning Activities||Challenge Course and Initiative Exercises|
|Lunch||Worked up an appetite? Great – it’s time to replenish your energy stores with the dining room. If you have energy to spare after lunch your Group Leader will always be ready for a quick kickabout with a ball or you could relax and chat with your new friends.|
|Afternoon Activities||Vertical Challenge and Abseiling|
|Dinner||Time to eat again – a different menu each day (and did we mention, often evening meals come with a hot pudding too – or you can stick with fruit if you prefer).|
|Evening Ents||Talent shows, campfires, quizzes and much more – your evening entertainment programme gives you the chance to get together with everyone else in your age group and have some laughs.|
|Bedtime||Bedtime. The younger ones go first whilst older groups have time to chill out and chat or watch a DVD. Then it’s lights out and time to sleep ready to do it all over again tomorrow!|
