NOW OPENING 2019 - Newby Wiske Hall, our brilliant new centre in North Yorkshire!

We will be opening a new PGL centre at Newby Wiske in North Yorkshire in Spring 2019.

We are especially pleased to finally bring our much-loved, holidays formula much closer to our customers in Yorkshire and the North East, giving them an even more convenient way to enjoy PGL Adventure Holidays!

We have exciting plans for a range of adventure activities in the grounds, flexible indoor spaces, a sports hall, as well as modern en suite rooms.

Close to Leeds and Newcastle and just 15 mins from the A1(M) close to Northallerton, Newby Wiske Hall is located in the dramatic North Yorkshire countryside between the Yorkshire Dales and North York Moors National Parks.

UPDATED January 2018: We had been granted planning permission for our new centre and initial building work was due to commence this week to ensure we would open in the spring.

Sadly we were informed on Friday 19th January that a request has now been made to the High Court for a Judicial Review of the process Hambleton District Council undertook to reach its planning decision. The Council will not know for a number of weeks if this will go ahead.

This means that despite the fact our planning permission currently still stands, we are not allowed to commence any building work and cannot therefore reasonably expect to be ready to open Newby Wiske in 2018. We have therefore been forced to change our plans and open in 2019.

Once work finally begins at Newby Wiske, we look forward to announcing more details and adding more photographs and information for everyone in the near future. We currently expect to take bookings for 2019 holidays in the Autumn of 2018.

Accommodation will be in modern 4-6 bed rooms, all with en suite bathrooms.

Set in its own private grounds, Newby Wiske with its own lake and woodland areas, will have a wide range of outdoor activities when work is completed by spring 2019. It already has a brilliant indoor sports hall and other indoor spaces that complement the activities we will be developing for outside.

Every day is different!

Fuel for LIFE!
Fun may be important, but so is food, and we want to inspire children into a healthier lifestyle that includes a tasty, balanced diet. We work closely with leading catering organisations to ensure our food is the best it can be and our dining rooms are fun, active places where it’s good to refuel during a busy fun-packed day.

From fussy eaters to growing appetites!
No-one should leave our dining room hungry so we try to offer a range of different and nutritious hot food to suit all appetites. There is unlimited access to the salad bar and bread basket and children can help themselves to fruit. Our buffet style restaurant means that children can ‘mix and match’ the items they love most. Our Group leaders are on hand to help and will look out for anyone who can’t find anything on the menu that they enjoy.

If necessary our catering teams will be more than happy to prepare something special.

Allergies, intolerances and other dietary requirements
A vegetarian alternative can always be provided on all our holidays, and we can accommodate most special diets required on medical or religious grounds, just let us know when you book.

Keeping hydrated
Water, squash, tea and coffee are available with all meals and children are encouraged to refill their water bottles for regular use throughout the day. There are also water fountains available around the centre.
