Whether you want to see your name in lights, appear in your school play or simply learn how to act, then this holiday is perfect for you.
What’s it all about?
Our Stage Skills holiday is all about making drama entertaining and enjoyable, working with our specialist coaching partners at ‘Stage Right’. During the week you will learn to act, take part in improvisations, study theatre skills and be taught other acting activities. At the end of this exciting week, you will create an Oscars
Ceremony where everyone will receive their own ‘Stage Right’ Certificate and trophy.
Can I do other activities as well?
Yes – every day there’s also a half day of activities from our hugely popular multi activity programme, plus a full programme of evening entertainment.
What do I learn?
You will work with a qualified drama coach from ‘Stage Right’ who will help you to push the boundaries of your imagination through performing arts to discover hidden talents.
You will work as a team to share ideas by creating and acting out memorable scenes. You will be taught how to develop colourful characters and become skilled at role play. Each day you will learn methods used by professional actors and how to adapt these skills to build up your own confidence.
Do I need any experience?
No experience of acting is required at all. Our drama coach will help you every step of the way and you will be amazed how quickly you will learn.
Do I need any specialist equipment?
No. Any specialist equipment that is required will be provided by us.

Every day is different
We offer over 50 different activities across all our centres and we pack in as many as possible on every PGL Adventure Holiday. Please note that not all activities are available at all centres; please see the specific centre pages for more information.
Evening activities
The fun doesn’t stop there! We also include fun-packed evening entertainment programmes at all our centres, every day, all year round, whichever holiday you choose.
Facilities
There’s a fantastic lake especially for watersports and also a completely refurbished sports hall. We’ve built a wide range of activity areas in the grounds of the main house including one of the best high ropes courses at PGL.

A typical itinerary for this holiday

| Breakfast | Off to the dining room with the rest of your group to fuel up for the day, you’ll need plenty of energy to keep you going. Breakfast includes cereals, toast, yogurts, porridge, and cooked breakfast – you choose! Don’t forget to refill your drinks bottle before you head off to your first activity |

| Lunch | Worked up an appetite? Great – it’s time to replenish your energy stores with the dining room. If you have energy to spare after lunch your Group Leader will always be ready for a quick kickabout with a ball or you could relax and chat with your new friends. |

| Dinner | Time to eat again – a different menu each day (and did we mention, often evening meals come with a hot pudding too – or you can stick with fruit if you prefer). |
| Evening Ents | Talent shows, campfires, quizzes and much more – your evening entertainment programme gives you the chance to get together with everyone else in your age group and have some laughs. |
| Bedtime | Bedtime. The younger ones go first whilst older groups have time to chill out and chat or watch a DVD. Then it’s lights out and time to sleep ready to do it all over again tomorrow! |

Accommodation
Guests stay in our en-suite accommodation blocks within the grounds of the centre. Each room sleeps between six to eight children.
