Below is a list of frequently asked questions about PGL Birthday Parties.

How do I book a Birthday Party?

Once you have visited your centre's specific page and know which are your preferred activities please call our Holidays Consultants on 0333 321 2114. We will start an enquiry for you and send your request to the centre for approval.

Once we hear back from them we will email you to confirm if we have availability for your chosen date and activities, this would normally be within 72 hours. We would request full payment for the party within 48 hours and once paid we will then send you a confirmation pack containing invites, centre maps and directions, a participant name list, your booking confirmation and invoice (and insurance policy if purchased).

Please note that the centre is only able to schedule activity programmes 6 weeks before arrival and therefore if your request is for a date outside of this timeframe we will continue to hold your request on the system until 6 weeks prior to the booking request date at which point we will forward your request.

Why do I need PGL insurance?

We strongly recommend that all participants have adequate insurance to cover cancellation, personal liability and personal accident. If you already have a policy in place, please check your policy carefully to ensure it covers the specific activities you have booked, as many policies do not cover such activities.

If you wish to purchase PGL insurance, this can be added to your Birthday Party booking for £20.00 to cover all participants. This can be added to you booking when you making payment.

Will a birthday cake be provided?

Yes, we provide a birthday cake and candles for all birthday parties. If you would like to bring your own, then please let us know.

Do I need to provide party food?

No, you do not need to provide party food. Depending on the Birthday Party package that you book, lunch and/or dinner will be provided in our dining room.

We offer a range of different and nutritious hot food to suit all appetites.There is unlimited access to the salad bar and bread basket and children can help themselves to fruit. Our buffet style restaurant means that children can ‘mix and match’ the items they love most.

A table will be reserved and decorated for the Birthday Party guests and the area will be made to feel like it’s a birthday party.

If any of the guests have a food allergy, intolerance or other dietary requirements, is that ok?

A vegetarian alternative can always be provided on all our holidays, and we can accommodate most special diets required on medical or religious grounds.

Please provide details of any food allergies or requests on the participant information form which will be sent to you in your confirmation pack once the birthday party booking is completed.

Can parents/guardians stay for the duration of the party?

We welcome parents to stay with the party. Most parents of the birthday child will stay but this is not essential. 

If the parents/guardians want to eat with the children, is this possible and how much will it cost?

Parents are able to eat with the birthday party. If you, or any other parent, would like to eat with the party then please let us know beforehand.

Please note, there is an additional cost of £5 per person who wishes to eat with the party.

What are the arrival and departure times?

The arrival and departure times vary depending on the centre at which the party is taking place. Please contact one of our Holiday Consultants on 0333 321 2114 to find out your specific times.

What happens in bad weather?

Birthday parties will continue to go ahead despite wet or bad weather. Activities can be moved indoors if appropriate. Birthday parties will only be cancelled under severe weather conditions such as lightening.
