for Cubs and Scouts
Hillcrest is one of our smaller centres, but its cosy atmosphere makes it an ideal venue for younger Cubs and Scouts on an outdoor adventure camp. Situated close to the River Wye, Hillcrest has plenty of exciting adventure activities in the grounds where your Cubs and Scouts can learn a range of new skills. Canoeing takes place on the nearby river and raft building and dragon boat racing are available on our own private lake a short distance away.
Hillcrest provides comfortable accommodation for visiting groups and their leaders and a range of facilities including a basketball court, floodlit playing field, plus a common room for group members and a lounge for group leaders.
Supervised evening entertainment sessions keep your Cubs and Scouts having fun before retiring to our comfortable accommodation.

Cubs and Scouts love mealtimes at PGL
We have lots of choice for your group and balanced daily menus that offer a variety of tasty, freshly-cooked food that will keep up their energy levels.
Why not try our salad bar?
To supplement our wide range of meals, we also have a salad bar where there’s a choice of different salad varieties for some additional healthy nutrition. And if that wasn’t enough, there’s delicious, warming soup available for your Cubs or Scouts to try and fresh fruit every day.
Whether there are members of your group who are choosy about what they eat, have any special dietary requirements or allergies, or just want more food, we will strive to accommodate any requests to ensure everyone leaves the dining room full and happy.
