for Cubs and Scouts
The great outdoors at its best
The crystal-clear waters of the Ardèche River.
The awe-inspiring gorge.
Discover and explore the stunning Ardèche as you paddle downstream in an open canoe.
Awaken your Scouts to the wonders of the outdoors and watch them gain new skills - even a qualification in canoeing.
They’ll grow in confidence as they paddle their way through this beautiful landscape under the supervision of our expert river teams. Their passion to succeed builds with every twist and turn they conquer. Every day brings a new adventure.
It’s an experience they’ll never forget.
It’s a two or three day undertaking to tackle the 19 mile descent of the Ardèche River. There’s the chance to camp out beside the river under the stars on an overnight bivouac – or return each night to your base at our centre.
We’ll make sure your group is familiar with the basic skills to take their canoes downstream. We then set off in small groups, each with a dedicated instructor who offers plenty of individual instruction to each Scout as they develop further skills and confidence.
And there’s more! A full programme of land-based adventure complements the descent of the Ardèche. Explore the local hills on a mountain bike, visit the secret caves surrounding the river Cèze or take your scouts on a river trek to discover the beautiful waterfalls at the Cascades du Saudatet.
We have two excellent centres in the region, so you can choose which one best suits your group - and whichever centre you decide on, there are plenty of adventure activities on site too.
An Excursion Day
There’s the chance to discover the local area and places of interest when we suspend activities for a day; or you could maintain the pace with an action-packed day trip to a local water park.
When the day’s adventures are over, our teams will lead lively evening entertainment sessions for your Scout group to enjoy.
