Two Centre Adventure
for Cubs and Scouts
Water here, water there
If your Cubs or Scouts love watersports – or just want to experience lots of them – try our two centre adventure!
You’ll soon understand why it’s our most popular overseas trip. With half your time spent on the Med, and the other half in the Ardèche, your group will have the chance to enjoy our widest range of watersports, including, the spectacular two-day canoe descent of the Ardèche river.
They’ll experience the dramatic landscape of the Ardèche and enjoy the relaxing atmosphere of the Med. It’s an action-packed experience, with the very best in instruction. In fact, should they wish to, your Scouts can obtain National Governing Body awards from British Canoeing and the Royal Yachting Association.
But our Two Centre Adventure is worth so much more than just the experience and skills on the water – you’ll be amazed to see how your Scouts grow and how much they can achieve in a little over a week.
You’ll enjoy around three-and-a-half days at each location. The transfer between the two centres takes around three hours, and most groups use their transfer day to take advantage of a local excursion.
Ardèche River Adventure
The canoe descent of the Ardèche Gorge takes two or three days; many groups like to take the chance to camp out by the river on our optional overnight bivouac or you can return to your centre at the end of each day on the river.
Your Scouts will learn the basics of how to sail a variety of craft, in half-day sessions, including catamarans, windsurfers and sit-on kayaks.
There’s never a dull moment with our full programme of evening entertainment led by our enthusiastic centre team.
