English Language Programme
for international students
Language, culture and adventure
If you’re looking for fun and rewarding English language programmes for juniors, look no further than PGL. Our unique mix of English language classes, excursions and adventure activities brings learning to life in an exciting and engaging way.
It’s a residential experience which provides exciting opportunities to explore the UK and enjoy a range of outdoor adventure activities. We are accredited by the British Council for the teaching of English and all our residential centres are owned by us and managed by trained and experienced PGL staff.
You won’t find a course that’s more fun, better value or better organised. It’s the ultimate in excitement and education. It’s the chance to enjoy all the benefits of a residential course plus adventure activities and excursions.
Courses are taught at four levels (elementary, to upper-intermediate) with students assessed on arrival and streamed into classes according to ability. CELTA (or equivalent) qualified teachers deliver 15 hours of classroom-based English language study each week, using specially written workbooks to support learning. Classes have a maximum size of 12 students.*
Energetic and fun adventure activities, such as climbing, abseiling, canoeing and raft building add an action-packed dimension to learning – all supervised by trained PGL instructors and all taking place in the centre grounds.
To complete the programme, two excursions per week (one half-day and one full-day) take students out and about to places of cultural and historical interest, accompanied by a PGL guide, where they can put their language skills into practice in real-life situations.
The fun continues in the evenings with supervised evening activities which provide students with more opportunities to use their English skills and make friends with other students from around the world.
Fully integrated EFL programme - students are fully integrated with other nationalities at every opportunity. This programme is fixed and available during winter, Easter and summer. Multiples of 7 night stays. No minimum numbers.
Closed EFL programme - groups remain closed and do not integrate, however there may be English-speaking children on-site, so some soft integration may be possible. This programme is fixed and available all year round. Minimum group size:12.
