Primary to Secondary Transition at liddington, wiltshire for primary schools
Facing change with confidence
Changing schools is a big step that can be challenging for any child.
Help your KS2 (P7) pupils cope with change with PGL’s Primary to Secondary Transition course. In the freedom of the outdoors, children are encouraged to face the physical and emotional challenges of our adventure courses.
Watch their focus turn to building stronger relationships, supporting and encouraging each other.
Our 'Plan, Do, Review' structure helps pupils understand the implications of what they learn and translate them back to their own personal and social circumstances.
Being away from home also encourages them to become more self-reliant and responsible for their personal organisation.
A Primary to Secondary Transition course is about helping children grow up a little. Helping them to feel stronger, more confident, and more self-aware. Ready for anything in fact. Even a new school!
Activities
Before your course begins, you’ll receive an ‘Aims and Objectives’ sheet to help us identify your focus. It’s still a multi-activity course, filled with four inspiring adventure sessions each day but because we want children to think about their experiences, we’ve added some further support.
With your guidance, our well-trained staff devise appropriate introductions to each session. There are thought-provoking workbooks and opportunities for discussion, and after each activity, review sessions enable children to explore what they were feeling, the implications, the connections and the insights.
