About Llwyn Filly
Are you taking a group of KS3 pupils on what may be their first trip away from home for some of them? Why not consider our Llwyn Filly activity centre?
Llwyn Filly is a homely, converted farmhouse, which can offer sole occupancy for a school group of up to 50 children. It’s close to the Welsh border town of Hay-on-Wye, famous for its literary festival and bookshops, and situated on the edge of the stunning Brecon Beacons, giving immediate access to the mountains.
Staying at Llwyn Filly gives you the best of both worlds: our larger centre, Tregoyd, is just 5 minutes away so you have access to a full range of adventure activities – as well as the quiet and privacy of having your accommodation to yourselves!
- Pupils - Rooms with bunk beds sleep 6-16
- Teachers - Twin or triple rooms - showers and toilets close by
- Dining room
- Games field
- Teachers’ lounge
- Drying room
Most activities take place at nearby Tregoyd House.

We’ve got plenty of hot and cold food options for your students to choose from and all our meals are freshly cooked at every mealtime.
Soup and salad – a meal in itself
Our salad bar is always busy at mealtimes and provides a wide choice of healthy, nutritious salad choices for your group. There’s also homemade soup available every day and lots of fresh fruit – they can help themselves!
For the more particular
We’ll do our best to cater for any dietary requirements your students may have. Our catering team will always find something to suit. For those students who just want a bit more, just ask us – we always have extra food available.
