Chalet des Pistes

Le Grand Massif, France

About Chalet des Pistes

The Chalet des Pistes provides a good standard of youth accommodation and is used by school parties all year-round. The owner, Jean-Marc, will do all he can to ensure an enjoyable and successful visit.

As well as being perfect for school groups, it is also ideally located on the main street in the heart of the friendly Morillon village. Its local shops, cafés and twice-weekly traditional market are right on the doorstep.

The lifts are easily accessible from Chalet des Pistes as it’s just a 250m walk to the cable car which goes up to Morillon 1100 and into the extensive Massif ski area.

Skis and boots are stored at the hire shop which is situated at the foot of the ski lift, so there is no need for groups to carry their equipment back and forth each day.

Accommodation

The hotel has 105 beds in rooms sleeping 4–6 guests in mainly bunk beds. Teachers are generally accommodated two to a room. All rooms are en suite and most have sunny balconies overlooking the village.

Accommodation is on a full board basis with the added bonus of afternoon tea on return from the slopes.

The chalet is principally used by school and youth groups so the food is simple, good and plentiful. Groups can return to the hotel for a hot lunch if required, but packed lunches are recommended for convenience.

You may be charged a damage deposit on arrival.
