About Hotel Austria

This family-run hotel is of a very high standard with both modern and traditional décor. The hotel is approximately 10 minutes walk from the centre of Hinterglemm and a few minutes’ walk from the Mitteregglift.

When there is good snow cover it may be possible to ski back to the hotel. Most groups start their week at the main lifts in Hinterglemm and then cover different parts of the mountain according to their ability.

There is also a bus stop close by from which the free ski bus can take you towards Saalbach or Hinterglemm.

Breakfast and evening meals with a salad buffet are served in the large dining room. Packed lunches are taken up to the slopes.

Accommodation

The hotel has 67 rooms and can accommodate up to 130 guests.

Students sleep mainly in 2 – 6 bedded rooms and accompanying teachers are in 2 – 4 bedded rooms.

All rooms are non-smoking and have en suite facilities and televisions. The majority of rooms also have a balcony and hairdryers. Towels are provided.

Intermediates will enjoy the beautiful tree-lined pistes on both sides of the valley and the open snowfields above Hinterglemm. Experts will find some steep and bumpy challenges, especially on the formidable Zwölfer run from the top of Hinterglemm at almost 2000 metres down to the bottom of the valley. Meanwhile, for beginners the nursery slopes are close to both village centres, with a range of good, easy runs higher up.
