About Zell am See / Kaprun

The lively town of Zell am See enjoys a magnificent position on the edge of Lake Zell. Its backdrop is the majestic Schmittenhöhe Mountain. The town has a sophisticated atmosphere and boasts a charming traffic-free centre with narrow cobbled streets and attractive buildings.

Zell lies at the centre of the Europa Sport Region, one of Austria's best known ski resorts.

NEW for 2019/20

The Schmiedingerbahn chairlift is SalzburgerLand's highest chairlift at between 2,530m and 2,775m. This modern 8-seater has heated seats and a weather-protected hub. In addition, the AreitXpress lift improves capacity and  helps reduce congestion at busy times. There is also a station that links Viehhofen with both Zell am See and Saalbach.

Zell am See-Kaprun and Saalbach will be under one lift pass, meaning you have the opportunity to ski two fantastic Austrian resorts during your trip!
