The great outdoors just got greater

As you paddle with your KS3 or KS4 group through crystal clear waters and take in the full impact of this beautiful part of France, it’s an awe-inspiring experience that takes learning to a whole new level.

It’s a chance for secondary school pupils to discover and explore.

Gain new skills.

Even the chance to gain a qualification in canoeing.

But beyond that, it’s the invaluable confidence; the renewed self-belief; the passion to succeed.

Because navigating the rapids along the twists and turns of the beautiful Ardèche Gorge, under the watchful eye of our highly experienced river teams, is truly a life-changing experience.

Activities

River adventure

Two or three days are spent enjoying the 19 mile descent of the Ardèche River - camping under the stars on an overnight bivouac. After learning the basics, students set off downstream in stages, paddling in small groups, with a dedicated river team ensuring everyone gets the most from their experience. Each sub group has its own instructor, who will help to build trust and confidence through plenty of individual instruction.

More adventure

There’s plenty more adventure during your week. Whether you choose to explore the picturesque hills on a mountain bike, explore the hidden caves surrounding the river Cèze, trek alongside and across it to discover the stunning waterfalls at the Cascades du Saudatet, or journey downstream through waterfalls and plunge pools on our new canyoning activity; you can choose the centre that best meets the needs of your group. And if it that isn’t enough, there are plenty of adventure activities packed into the centres themselves too.

An excursion day

Out and about you’ll discover the local area and places of interest - an ideal opportunity for cross-curricular enrichment.

Fun-packed evenings

The fun doesn’t stop when the day’s activities are over. Our centre teams lead evening entertainment sessions for everyone to enjoy.
