Winter tours – Christmas magic!

Marvel at the magic of Christmas in Paris with your French learners this winter!

Get up close to the season’s cultural traditions, enjoy the festivities, wonder at the illuminations – savour the unique smells of fresh gingerbread and pretzels; find traditional decorations and of course take that opportunity to buy something unique and special for someone back home – or just for yourself!

The biggest and most easily accessible of the Christmas Markets in Paris is set along the lovely Avenue de Champs Elysées. The market is housed in more than 160 authentic wooden chalets and features dramatic Christmas lighting. Running from mid November till early January, it’s truly an experience not to be missed!

You can go ice skating at one of the outdoor rinks, see the Eiffel tower lit up like a Christmas tree, and follow your day’s activities with an evening in Paris. After all that excitement, it’s good to know you can rely on being able to relax in our comfortable Château de Grande Romaine and enjoy the warm welcome of our centre staff.

Activities

Seasonal Excursions
Your excursion programme will include a Parisian Christmas market – and a PGL guide to help ensure you get the best from the experience. It’s also a great opportunity to visit Disney and enjoy the unique seasonal entertainment there, alongside all the other popular attractions. There are further seasonal activities such as ice-skating and theatre visits, and other sights of Paris with a seasonal twist – including the Eiffel Tower, lit up like a Christmas tree!

Adventure: The PGL Bonus
If you have time, why not try out one of our unique PGL adventure sessions? They’re a great opportunity for some teambuilding and will complement your off-site adventures perfectly.

An Evening Programme
Themed evening activities (such as making crêpes) are the finishing touch to your winter tour and cultural experience.

Learning outcomes

A winter trip to France to enjoy the Christmas festivities is a great way to renew your pupils’ enthusiasm for France and all things French. The tour will improve motivation and interest in continuing with their French studies; it will also help improve their key skills, leading to better progress in the subject.

The support of a dedicated and trained PGL Tour Leader will ensure your pupils get the most from their experiences.

On-site adventure activities can improve group dynamics, confidence and communication skills.

Your pupils receive an all-round learning experience, but above all, your group leaves France with an enthusiasm for the language and culture of the country.
