Working as a Maintenance Technician
PGL’s Maintenance Technicians have a crucial role in ensuring our centres run like clockwork and that the non-activity side of our guests’ stay exceeds their expectations.
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will be involved in some of the essential support services at the centre, including aesthetic appearance, general upkeep and cleanliness. If you have a trade background, with relevant skills and qualifications, you will be charged with ensuring high levels of general upkeep and routine maintenance of the centre facilities to include grounds and buildings.
PGL’s Maintenance Technicians make positive contributions to the presentation of our centres, and ensure company safe systems of work are employed and procedures relating to Health and Safety are followed at all times.You will also need to be able to react and manage emergency situations in relation to Maintenance of grounds and facilities i.e. boiler breakdowns, power outage etc.
It is essential that our Maintenance Technicians have a trade background with relevant skills and qualifications essential. You will also need a strong customer focus, the ability to work as part of a team, and be able to deliver results.
It is also desirable, but not essential, that you have a driving licence, experience and/or qualification in horticultural or agricultural work, and First Aid at Work qualifications.
Maintenance Technicians are vital in enabling the smooth operation of PGL’s centres and make significant contributions to ensuring our guests’ stay exceeds their expectations. You will be involved in some of the essential support services at the centre, including aesthetic appearance, general upkeep and cleanliness.
You will ensure company safe systems of work are employed and procedures relating to Health and Safety are followed at all times, ensure high levels of general upkeep and routine maintenance of the centre facilities, and be able to react to maintenance-related emergency situations.
As a Maintenance Technician you will have the opportunity to gain invaluable knowledge, skills and experience. You will receive a comprehensive centre induction, job specific training, regular observations, feedback and performance reviews.
You will also be eligible to enrol onto an Intermediate Apprenticeship in Cleaning and Environmental Support Services, which includes a number of nationally recognised qualifications, all free of charge.
