LOVE TO LEARN
HORSE RIDING PRO
Our '100% horsey' adventure
Six full days of equestrian activities
If you are mad about riding and want a '100% horsey' adventure, we have the perfect adventure holiday for you!
What’s it like?
If you're already a rider and simply love horses, we’ve got the perfect horsey holiday for you! As well as learning and improving your horse riding skills, you’ll help with grooming and looking after your horse and have fun with like-minded friends all day, every day.
What can I do?
The programme is a mixture of different activities, lessons and skills practice at our specialist partner riding centre, a short bus ride from our Tregoyd base. Weather permitting there are opportunities to go out hacking too but most of your time will be using the facilities at the riding centre. You'll also get to know your horse during the week, managing their care and working on improving your skills.
Can I do other activities as well?
Horse Riding Pro is all about horses so includes six full-on days of equestrian activities.
As with all our holidays, our team will also run fun group activities every evening.
Do I need any riding experience?
Our 'Pro' holiday is for intermediate or experienced riders and you should be confident enough to canter across an open field. All our other Horse Riding holidays are suitable for those with little or no riding experience - click here if you think they might be better for you
Do I need any specialist equipment?
We’ll provide all the specialist equipment you need, but you must bring a pair of shoes or boots with a heel. You can bring your own jockey skullcap, but this must conform to BSI safety standards.
Activities
Every day is different
Horse Riding Pro is all about spending time indulging in all things 'horsey' so unfortunately there isn't time to also take advantage of all the other activities on offer at Tregoyd.
Evening activities - the fun doesn’t stop there!
We also include fun-packed evening entertainment programmes at all our centres, every day, all year round, whichever holiday you choose.

Sample Itinerary
Schedule | Activity |
---|---|
Breakfast | Off to the dining room with the rest of your group to fuel up for the day, you’ll need plenty of energy to keep you going. Morning Activities | Equestrian Activities |
Lunch | Worked up an appetite? Great – it’s time to replenish your energy stores with the dining room. If you have energy to spare after lunch your Group Leader will always be ready for a quick kickabout with a ball or you could relax and chat with your new friends. |
Afternoon Activities | Equestrian Activities |
Dinner | Time to eat again – a different menu each day (and did we mention, often evening meals come with a hot pudding too – or you can stick with fruit if you prefer). |
Evening Ents | Talent shows, campfires, quizzes and much more – your evening entertainment programme gives you the chance to get together with everyone else in your age group and have some laughs. |
Bedtime | Bedtime. The younger ones go first whilst older groups have time to chill out and chat or watch a DVD. Then it’s lights out and time to sleep ready to do it all over again tomorrow! |
