Traditional Christmas markets in France are part of its history - the traditional wooden chalets, local produce and festive gifts. it’s truly an experience not to be missed and a great way to introduce your pupils to French language and culture.

Seasonal Excursions
Your excursion programme includes a visit to a Christmas market with a PGL guide to help ensure you get the best from your visit. There's also the option to visit Disneyland Paris and further seasonal activities such as theatre visits and other sights of Paris with a seasonal twist – including the Eiffel Tower lit up like a Christmas tree!
Adventure: The PGL Bonus
If you have time, why not try out one of our unique PGL adventure sessions in the grounds of our Château? They’re a great opportunity to let off steam and for team building.
An Evening Programme
Themed evening activities (such as crêpe making) provide the finishing touch to your winter tour and cultural experience.

Learning outcomes
A winter trip to France to enjoy the Christmas festivities is a great way to develop an interest for France and all things French. For some children it may their first trip to France, so it's an ideal opportunity to create and interest in learning about France and learning to speak the French language.
The support of a dedicated and trained PGL Tour Leader ensures your pupils get the most from their experiences.
- On-site adventure activities can improve group dynamics, confidence and communication skills.
- Your pupils receive an all-round learning experience, but above all, they come home with an enthusiasm for the language and culture of France.
Travel information

Return travel by executive coach is included in the cost of your trip. Your coach is also available for excursions once you arrive at your PGL centre, subject to EU drivers’ hours regulations.
To minimise your journey time and make the most of your time away we offer a number of Channel crossings. Dover-Calais is included as standard in the cost of our tours but alternative crossings are available on request. You can choose Dover-Dunkirk by ferry or Folkestone-Calais by Eurotunnel at no additional charge. A small supplement may apply to crossings from Portsmouth to Caen and Cherbourg. Please contact our Tour Organisers to discuss alternative Channel crossings including air and Eurostar.
