Ski course insurance summary
PGL prices include extensive insurance cover (for groups originating from the UK only) organised through travel insurance specialists Fogg Travel Insurance Services Ltd., which provides a high level of cover. The policy is underwritten by Union Reiseversicherung AG.
For Party Leader peace of mind, there is Organiser’s Liability cover for £5,000,000 which includes indemnity for the Organiser/LEA etc.
Clients not requiring our insurance will be asked to complete an Insurance Indemnity Form issued on the advice of ABTA.

There is an excess of £35 for some sections.

We would like to bring some of the important features of the insurance cover to your attention:-
Your policy contains a 14 day cooling-off period, during which you can cancel the policy if you have a justifiable reason for being dissatisfied with the cover it provides.
If any participant or any other person over the age of 18, or if travelling to the USA, any age, on whom the travel plans depend, (e.g. a close relative) has ever had treatment for any heart condition or circulatory condition, a stroke or high blood pressure, any breathing condition (including asthma), any type of cancer, any type of diabetes, any psychological condition, any existing injury or other serious or re-occurring medical condition, any condition requiring long term prescribed medication or if you are receiving or awaiting investigation for any medical condition you must advise FOGG travel via their referral line on 0845 1300 198. An additional premium may then apply and/or additional excess for that condition. Please note, that once the booking is confirmed any new medical conditions for ALL PASSENGERS, must be declared.
Conditions and exclusions will apply to individual sections of your policy while general exclusions, conditions and terms will apply to the whole policy.
These claims are paid based on the value of the goods at the time you lose them and not on a “new for old” or replacement cost basis.
Most sections of the policy have limits on the amount the insurer will pay under that section. Some sections also include other specific limits, for example for any one item or for valuables in total. You are advised to check your policy if you intend taking expensive items with you, which we advise against.
Under some sections of the policy claims will be subject to an excess. This means that you will be responsible for paying the first part of the claim. The amount you have to pay is called the excess.
You need to take all reasonable care to protect yourself and your property, otherwise your claim may be refused.
The insurance policy includes a Complaints Procedure which tells you what steps you can take if you wish to make a complaint.
If you are going to take part in dangerous sports or pastimes where there is a risk of injury, check that your policy covers you. All activities officially organised and implemented by PGL are covered.

The Insurance Policy will be subject to the law of England and Wales unless otherwise agreed.
Please note that there are a small number of resorts where the Medicards and EHIC cards are not recognised and therefore payment for all medical procedures will be payable in resort, we recommend a credit card or cash float is carried for this eventuality.
