for secondary schools
Hillcrest is a relatively small centre close to the River Wye in Herefordshire and is ideal for secondary groups requiring sole occupancy. There are adventure activities in the grounds for your students to enjoy and a large lake nearby for watersports such as dragon boating, kayaking and raft building.
There’s plenty to do on land too. Why not try some abseiling, rifle shooting or a forest trail for some great learning outside the classroom opportunities? Accommodation is in the main house and we have some excellent facilities including a basketball court and floodlit playing field to use between activity sessions.
- Students - Rooms with bunk beds sleep 6-16 (Showers and toilets located close by)
- Teachers - Single or twin rooms, en suite or with private facilities nearby
- Basketball court
- Floodlit playing field
- Indoor space
- Group common room
- Teachers’ lounge
Activities include canoeing, kayaking and dragon boating at our very own private lake nearby. The full list of activities is included below.
There's plenty to keep everyone busy in the evenings too, with our lively entertainment programme led by the PGL team.
