LOVE TO LEARN
Learn to climb and get qualified!
Three and a half days of climbing adventure + two and a half days of multi activity
If you love heights or have an interest in climbing our climbing holiday will teach you how to independently climb and boulder almost anything!
What’s it all about?
If you love heights or have an interest in climbing our Climbing Adventure holiday will teach you how to independently climb and boulder almost anything! At the end of the week you’ll get to use all your new skills when you visit a local cliff for some outdoor crag climbing.
What will I learn?
At the start of the holiday you will be enrolled on the National Indoor Climbing Achievement Scheme. Whilst enjoying all our climbing and ropes courses you will learn all about pre-climbing checks, belays, ground anchors, bouldering, holding falls and various climbing techniques. Throughout the week our instructors will complete your log book and at the end of the holiday you will have climbed your way to Level 2.
Can I do other activities as well?
This holiday makes the best use of all our activities including climbing, abseiling, trapeze, zip wire and Jacob’s Ladder to teach you all the right rope work and climbing skills. Plus, you’ll also enjoy two and a half days of exciting activities from our multi activity programme.
Do I need any specialist equipment?
No, we will provide you with everything you need. If you have a pair of rock shoes then you may wish to bring them although trainers will do just fine.

Every day is different
We offer over 50 different activities across all our centres and we pack in as many as possible on every PGL Adventure Holiday so you can have loads of new experiences! Please note that not all activities are available at all centres; please see the specific centre pages for more information.
The fun doesn’t stop there! We also include fun-packed evening entertainment programmes at all our centres, every day, all year round, whichever holiday you choose.
|Breakfast||Off to the dining room with the rest of your group to fuel up for the day, you’ll need plenty of energy to keep you going. Breakfast includes cereals, toast, yogurts, porridge, and cooked breakfast – you choose!
Don’t forget to refill your drinks bottle before you head off to your first activity
|Morning Activities||Half day Climbing Adventure|
|Lunch||Worked up an appetite? Great – it’s time to replenish your energy stores with the dining room. If you have energy to spare after lunch your Group Leader will always be ready for a quick kickabout with a ball or you could relax and chat with your new friends.|
|Afternoon Activities||Raft Building and Archery|
|Dinner||Time to eat again – a different menu each day (and did we mention, often evening meals come with a hot pudding too – or you can stick with fruit if you prefer).|
|Evening Ents||Talent shows, campfires, quizzes and much more – your evening entertainment programme gives you the chance to get together with everyone else in your age group and have some laughs.|
|Bedtime||Bedtime. The younger ones go first whilst older groups have time to chill out and chat or watch a DVD. Then it’s lights out and time to sleep ready to do it all over again tomorrow!|
