Adventure Holidays at
TREGOYD HOUSE
Powys
Mansion house setting on Welsh borders
Great for horse riders
Llwyn Filly 'annexe'
Tregoyd House is our premier horse riding and trekking centre!
Small and friendly, but with loads of space for activities, It’s a beautiful old mansion house (where Lord Hereford once lived) and the unique, private gardens and grounds once attracted wealthy Victorian visitors to sit and picnic by the stream. There’s a lot more going on than picnics today and now its gardens are packed with adventure! There’s a great mix of activities from climbing through to raft building and the trapeze.
It’s also our only centre which offers you the chance to try Horse Riding Pro, our only 100% horsey holiday for intermediate and more advanced riders set in the stunning Welsh borders. We also use the facilities at PGL Llwyn Filly, a small, picturesque period property only one mile away in a private setting with its own lake.
Accommodation
At Tregoyd, all the accommodation is in the mansion house. It’s in multi-bedded rooms with bunk beds, so you will easily make friends. Showers and toilets are located close to the rooms. (Please note that guests on our Horse Riding and Trekking holidays may be accommodated together in multi-bedded rooms at PGL Llwyn Filly, our homely, self contained farmhouse 'annexe', just one mile down the road from Tregoyd).
Facilities
In the gardens and grounds of Tregoyd there are the challenge courses, an abseil/climbing tower, trapeze, Jacob’s ladder, rifle range and an archery field. Down the road next to PGL Llwyn Filly is ‘The Puddle’, our very own lake where you take part in watersports including kayaking and raft building.
Mad about horses? Well you’re in the right place! Tregoyd House is our premier riding centre. If you would like a whole holiday dedicated just to riding, try our Pro holiday for intermediate and advanced riders. Or if you're more of a beginner why not try our 'half and half' option, combining all things horsey with many our legendary multi activities. So whether you’re a complete beginner or an experienced rider, we’ve the perfect adventure holiday for you.

Activities available
Every day is different
We offer over 50 different activities across all our centres and we pack in as many as possible on every PGL Adventure Holiday. Please note that not all activities are available at all centres; please see the list below for activities available at this centre.
Evening activities
The fun doesn’t stop there! We also include fun-packed evening entertainment programmes at all our centres, every day, all year round, whichever holiday you choose.
Food
Fuel for LIFE!
Fun may be important, but so is food, and we want to inspire children into a healthier lifestyle that includes a tasty, balanced diet. We work closely with leading catering organisations to ensure our food is the best it can be and our dining rooms are fun, active places where it’s good to refuel during a busy fun-packed day.
From fussy eaters to growing appetites!
No-one should leave our dining room hungry so we try to offer a range of different and nutritious hot food to suit all appetites. There is unlimited access to the salad bar and bread basket and children can help themselves to fruit. Our buffet style restaurant means that children can ‘mix and match’ the items they love most. Our Group leaders are on hand to help and will look out for anyone who can’t find anything on the menu that they enjoy.
If necessary our catering teams will be more than happy to prepare something special.
Allergies, intolerances and other dietary requirements
A vegetarian alternative can always be provided on all our holidays, and we can accommodate most special diets required on medical or religious grounds, just let us know when you book.
Keeping hydrated
Water, squash, tea and coffee are available with all meals and children are encouraged to refill their water bottles for regular use throughout the day. There are also water fountains available around the centre.

“My youngest son (the horse-mad one) can not wait to get back there. He's taking regular horse riding lessons and wants to be back at the centre in Wales as fast as possible. The older boy really enjoyed the multi-activity holiday and made many friends.”
