Pony Camp Trekker

If you are mad about horses, whether you’re a complete beginner or an experienced rider we have the perfect adventure holiday for you!

As well as learning and improving your horse riding skills, you’ll help with grooming and looking after your horse and have fun with like-minded friends all day, every day.

What is included?
The programme is a mixture of different riding activities and skills practice at our specialist partner riding centre, Llangorse Riding Stables, a short bus ride from our Tregoyd base. Weather permitting there will be plenty of time spent trekking in the beautiful surroundings, but the centre also has great facilities to use in between. You'll also get to know your horse during the week, managing their care and working on improving your skills in stable management.

====Is previous experience required?
Our Pony Camp Trekker holiday is for intermediate or experienced riders who have at least 12-months riding experience. We would expect all participants to be able to confidently walk, trot and canter across an open field. Our Pony Camp Beginner is suitable for those with little or no riding experience - if you think they might be better for you

Do I need any special equipment?
We’ll provide all the specialist equipment you need, but you must bring a pair of shoes or boots with a heel. You can bring your own jockey skullcap, but this must conform to BSI safety standards. We also recommend that children bring a body protector - please note that on the Pony Camp Trekker holiday there may be the opportunity to progress to jumping, in which case a body protector is mandatory.

Ps - to create the best camp experience for kids attending occasionally we will combine adjacent age groups on selected activity sessions. This does not include rooming or pastoral groups. During off-site activities in public areas children will be escorted by a member of our PGL team at all times.

Activities

Every day is different
Every day you get to spend your whole day at our partner riding centre (a short bus drive away). Check out what's on offer above! Unfortunately you won't have space to squeeze in any Multi Activities at our PGL centre this time - but you can always return!

Evening activities - the fun doesn’t stop there!
We also include fun-packed evening activities programmes at all our centres, every day, all year round, whichever holiday you choose.
