Pony Camp Improver
Level up your riding skills - half intermediate riding + half Multi Activity
Take your riding to the next level with our new Pony Camp Improver Camp.
Located on the edge of the Cotswolds, this is the perfect holiday for those with some intermediate riding experience looking to develop your skills. Tuition will include riding skills in Showjumping, Dressage and Cross Country, subject to ability.
What is included?
4x half days and 1 full day of riding lessons at Rein and Shine Equestrian Centre. Throughout the week you will receive expert instruction in Dressage, Showjumping and Cross Country managed by a Stage Four Eventing Coach. They will also lead you through BHS quality training in all aspects of pony care – grooming, tacking up and stable management. Please note: Riding sessions are split by ability, therefore friends travelling together may not necessarily be grouped together.
Is previous experience required?
Yes, in order to take part in this holiday and enjoy it to the full we require you to be able to canter independently with confidence.
Do I need any special equipment?
We’ll provide all the specialist equipment you need, but you must bring a pair of shoes or boots with a heel. You can bring your own jockey skullcap, but this must conform to British Horse Society approved safety standards. We request that children bring a body protector, which is mandatory when jumping - however the centre can provide one if necessary.
Ps - to create the best camp experience for kids attending occasionally we will combine adjacent age groups on selected activity sessions. This does not include rooming or pastoral groups. During off-site activities in public areas children will be escorted by a member of our PGL team at all times.
Activities
Every day is different
Every day you get to spend half your day trying out a selection of different activities from our brilliant Multi-Activity programme such as climbing and canoeing. The other half of your day is spent riding and caring for your horse at one of our brilliant specialist riding centres (a short bus drive away). Please note that not all activities are available at all centres; please see the specific centre pages for more information.
Evening activities - the fun doesn’t stop there!
We also include fun-packed evening activities programmes at all our centres, every day, all year round, whichever holiday you choose.
