Winmarleigh Hall

Nick Andrews - General Manager, Winmarleigh Hall
All the staff at Winmarleigh Hall are looking forward to welcoming all our guests in 2011, and as usual we have been working hard over the winter to ensure your stay in 2011 will be a huge success.

We have continued our programme of work to replace the older showers in the Main House and Stables and have focused on general refurbishment of adult bathrooms in these areas.  Many rooms have had carpets replaced, and together with our continued programme of furniture replacement this ensures our bedrooms are presented to the best possible standards.

Catering continues to feature prominently; the changes in 2010 received some great guest feedback and we aim to build on this and ensure the dining at Winmarleigh Hall is just as exciting and enjoyable as the activities.  Dining room improvements include screening off the clear-away station to ensure this area does not compromise the overall dining experience.

Activities have probably seen one of the most exciting developments of recent years.  A new lake has been created near our archery ranges, to provide rafting, (a new activity for 2011), and an extension of our open canoe sessions.  The lake will be available from 1st March, 2011 and we are confident that rafting will prove to be a very popular activity, particularly in the summer months.

Our study sessions have been brought together under the ‘Discover More’ product name, with a large variety of individual sessions from which to choose.  If you have not explored which options are available, or need help choosing the right sessions to support  your topics in school, our Study Team will be happy to discuss possible options for your visit.

We look forward to seeing you at the centre during 2011.
