You’re heading to Disneyland® Paris for the first time — woohoo! Your family are in for a real magical adventure with so many things to do and see. We’re here to help you make the most of your time here by letting you in on our tips for visiting Disneyland Paris.

Tips for visiting Disneyland® Paris

We know a thing or two about adventures at Disneyland Paris, and here’s what we recommend for everyone who is visiting Disneyland Paris for the first time!

Pre-book character dining

Are you hoping to see your favourite Disney characters at character dining? If so, the best thing to do is book in advance. Yep, you can book character dining before you even arrive at Disneyland, so then you have your spot secured to meet Mickey Mouse, Mini Mouse, Cinderella or whoever else you wish to see.

Arrive early

This is the best way to beat the queues! You’ll more than likely still have to queue for some of the biggest rides, but they’re only going to get longer as the day goes on, so the earlier your family get into the park, the better!

But that’s not the only benefit of arriving early. Disneyland Paris is huge, and there’s lots to explore. So arriving early gives your family more time to see the attractions and make the most of what Disneyland Paris has to offer. If you have a day pass to Disney, then this is one of the best tips for visiting Disneyland Paris we can give you!

Try the great food!

Disneyland Paris has over 70 places to eat! Whether that’s food on the go, buffet restaurants, or table service restaurants, there are plenty of options to choose from — and of course, the food is super-scrumptious! Another thing we love about Disney restaurants is that many of them are themed, immersing you in the land of your favourite Disney movie.

If you want to find out more, then see our blog on where to eat at Disneyland Paris where we take a deep dive into some of the most popular places to eat.

Watch the parade

Every evening Disney puts on a grand parade that flows through the park, featuring hundreds of performers and Disney characters waving to the crowd on their themed vehicles. It’s the perfect time to relax and have a bite to eat after all of the day’s walking! You can catch the parade coming from the Sleeping Beauty Castle through the Central Plaza and down Main Street U.S.A. towards Town Square.

Check the weather forecast

We know it’s not always correct, but it’s worth checking it out in case it is going to rain. This way you can make sure you’re all dressed for the weather, or at least have something to keep you dry if it does start raining. If it’s a hot day, then it’s worth taking some suncream so you can keep topped up throughout the day.

Find your favourite Disney characters

There are hundreds of Disney characters at the park, and it can be difficult to track down your favourite ones. Sometimes you’ll just see them roaming around, but other times you might need to search for them in their land. Disneyland Paris has sections for Adventureland, Frontierland, Discoveryland, and Fantasyland, which should help you find who you wish! For example, in Fantasyland, you can meet the classic Disney fairytale characters like Snow White, Pinocchio, and more!
