Are you ready to turn rainy days into a fantastic day of adventures? When the rain comes pouring, we understand it can be a challenge to keep the kids entertained. But don’t worry, we’ve got you covered. Say goodbye to “I’m bored” and show your kids that they enjoy a day filled with laughter and creativity, even when it is raining. Our rainy day family activities are super exciting, so let the fun begin!

Bake off/Cook off

Why not gather your little sous chefs for a bake-off extravaganza? You can make some tasty treats while helping your kids unleash their creativity and develop independence when cooking/baking. So get those mixing bowls out and get baking!

At PGL, your kids can attend one of our Cooking and Baking camps where they can learn new skills while experiencing the adventure activities available on site!

Indoor Scavenger hunt

Who said treasure/scavenger hunts are only for sunny days? Well, you can bring the thrill indoors and set your little explorers off on an adventure around the house. Create a list of clues for where your little ones can find the hidden treasures and then watch them unlock their inner detective skills.

Den building

When you can’t build a den outside, what’s the next best thing? Inside! Help your kids grab blankets, cushions, chairs and more as they create a fortress of their own. It’s a fantastic activity to get their creative juices flowing! Kids love to see how their imagination has changed something ordinary into something special, and this is a perfect way for them to do that.

Your child could be building similar shelters if they come and enjoy an adventure with PGL, on our Survivor activity where groups must work together to build a shelter in the forest.

Play board games

Family games day — how does that sound? Get out everybody’s favourite board games and spend the day relaxing and enjoying board games. Grab a hot chocolate (and maybe some treats) and prepare for a day of fun competition!

Arts and crafts

Arts and crafts is one of the best rainy day activities for kids, and it’s a classic! Allow your child’s imagination to run wild as they create their own DIY masterpieces and turn the kitchen into their own mini art studio. It’s also the perfect opportunity for your little ones to express themselves with what they design!

Indoor obstacle course

Turn your room (or rooms) into a playground of challenges and thrills by creating an indoor obstacle course for your kids. Clear some space and get the course set up for an adventurous time! If your kids need to burn off some energy, then there’s no better way to do it when it’s raining outside.

Go and jump in the puddles!

Just because it’s raining, it doesn’t mean everyone NEEDS to stay inside. Why not get everybody’s wellies on and go and have a splash in the puddles? At PGL, the rain doesn’t stop our adventurous outdoor activities. It’s a fun way to embrace the grey skies with the family!

Enjoy the outdoors with PGL!

We hope your family enjoy these rainy day activities for kids! If your kids love an adventure and don’t mind having fun in the rain, why not take a look at our outdoor adventure camps!
